For over 45 years, ALS has been providing culturally appropriate legal services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men, women and children in NSW and ACT.

Today, we are an established Aboriginal controlled community organisation with
23 offices and 185 staff working in urban, rural and remote NSW and ACT towards improving justice outcomes for Aboriginal people in and outside the courtroom.

The CEO will lead the organisation through a dynamic organisational change process with an eye on new business opportunities while maximising frontline service delivery and outcomes in consultation with Aboriginal communities.

The successful applicant will have a strong track record in senior management
roles including government and non-government sectors, with high performance in strategic planning, change management, political advocacy and campaigning, organisational governance and sound financial management. An ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of agencies, services, sectors and communities utilising advanced interpersonal, negotiation and
advocacy skills is essential to the position.

With the support of the Board, the CEO will cement ALS as a preeminent, peak,
not-for-profit organisation.

Prior involvement in the charity and community sector desirable.

A competitive remuneration package will be offered together with the support
of a dedicated board and staff.
